I designed this Fiji flag design with keeping in mind that it is now an independent nation and no longer needs the Union Jack on its flag. I used the great-looking coat of arms in a triangular pile design with two shades of blue, to represent the ocean. The two dark blue triangles represent the two major islands of Fiji, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.
