Iraq

This Iraq flag design was never adopted because the people of Iraq did not like it.

The crescent represents Islam, and the Blue stripes on the bottom of the flag represent the two major rivers - the Tigris and the Euphrates. The design was meant to replace the one which was official when Saddam Hussein was alive. Most Iraqis did not like the design and it was never adopted.
