Connecticut

This Connecticut flag design is one I designed over a long period of time, but I still am not very comfortable with it. Anyway, the design has the United States jack (that's a national canton [that's the upper-left quarter of the flag] design). The nutmeg red represent the state's nickname, "The Nutmeg State". The special swallowtailed shape represents the nutmeg. The red, white, and blue, again, represents the United States.

The current flag of Connecticut is one of the worst flags I have ever seen. It has the state coat of arms, which is very complicated, and it has the state's motto in Latin! Why?!?!?!?!?!? What if you saw it from the other side? What does "TENITSUS TILUTSNART IUQ" mean? Can anyone tell me? I don't think so!
